Wot! No Orionids?

Have I missed it or has nobody managed to image any this year?

Seen a few myself, but no images on SGL....

I've been wondering myself if anyone managed to capture anything, but from the quietness of this subject :-( I fear not.

I've had cloud cover myself.

I checked last night, but where I live we had a lovely cover of cloud this is the 4th night in a row now.

i saw a single something that looked as though it was going to wipe out all mammalian life on the entire planet. bright gold it was, and the full length of the sky. but just the one in over an hour.

i've seen a few but was in work at the peak

one did catch my attention just for the time or rather the lack of time, it took to cover over 90 degrees of arc, i can only assume that it was fairly close

A fair number of meteors especially on the morning of the 21st. But none bright; Orionids being fast don't image well unless well into the negative magnitude range. And the low level cloud / fog banks & exceptionally heavy dew made imaging impossible for me.

Complete cloud cover and pi**ing rain here since about 8pm yesterday evening. Still the same right now. Miserable weather. 'orrible. depressing:(
