celestron setup

hi all

just a quick question here.

i have been trying to setup my celestron slt 130 and the question i have when setting it up is ? ,

1 i have set the location which is closest to sheffield , which is leeds

2 time and date .

3, daylight saving.

4 now now the next option i get is universal , do i leave that or do do set the time zone to my area zone 4? thanks in advance martyn

Yes, you leave in Universal. Remember to change date and time every time you go out stargazing. Celestron tend to reset every time you turn off you telescope. I had the same problem and could not align it. Solution was simple to check the date and time every time.

'CalSKY' or 'Heavens Above' will also give you the coordinates for your location too and you do not even have to register them.

'CalSKY' I found was better because you have a MAP / SATTELITE / HYBRID so can obtain your precise location.
