The veil nebula LRGB, ngc6992 section

Hi,

This is only the 3rd image I've managed with the H9 camera due to the light skies, cloud, rain, flexure,etc! Image was taken through a Meade LX90LNT/EQ6 at approx F5 (and cropped slightly).

The stars are a bit soft in the corners, think I need to back off the focal reduction a bit!

Exposure times were 105:24:24:24 (L 3min subs, RGB 4min subs binned 2x).

Nice picture. If you go for the other end and maybe one other frame you could montage it and crop the soft stars out!

I agree, that's both subtle and yet sharp. Lovely stuff. You will find plenty of good targets for that focal length and many that are not often seen on the forum.

Must admit Olly with the focal length of the LX90 it's quite fun working out which part of the larger objects to aim at. I confess though in this case, this is just a short nudge from where the GOTO slew for ngc6992 ended up!
