O111 filter question

Recommended Posts

Is there a difference in the colour you see when looking through a visual O111 filter compared to a Imaging O111 filter.

I have the Baader Narrowband O111 and it's visually green when observing. Is this correct. Or have I got an imaging one by mistake.

A few other people have different brands of O111 and they see an image thats white.

A CCD OIII filter usually has a narrower bandwidth and stops the close H beta. The visual OIII usually is broad band enough to include the H beta. In both cases the view/ image should ONLY be in the red ( 5007 A) - a white view would infer a broadband image passing both green, blue and red!!????
