finally got a new fan fitted, and fitted a smaller flat to my 12" spx 300 f6 the clearance around the edge of the flat over the primary is very tight. Orion say about 1 mm. Early results suggest a improvent both in sharpness and collimation. Though its still slightly off,

My DFK likes jupiter as its bright. i think lots of detail to be got this year, its going to be fun. it had just rained prior to a number of captures i got, this was a quick first stack and process, false colour is hard to get rid of completly, i set saturation to max on the DFK to try to capture as much colour as possible then colour align it on registax 5. being lowish down im guessing 25 degrees ( if anyone knows the true figure ) colour dispersion was bad, but i went for a full rich colour setting 3x televue slight tube extender 3 min avi 30 fps some 5000 odd frames about 3300 stacked
