M82 work in progress

I'm fascinated by M82. It doesn't have the immediate appeal of a face on galaxy but there is so much going on in the core, as well as the fragmentation there is a burst of gas coming out of it. I came back to it last Friday - got 30x40 sec subs with the NS8 and Meade 3.3 FR before the inevitable happened but during this time there was no wind and a very transparent sky. I didn't use a filter.

The starburst is just starting to show up and I would like to capture more of this. Have also combined it with some previous windy and fuzzy RGB subs so have included that.

I am going to keep adding to this when conditions are very good, perhaps 100 lum subs 30 each of RGB and also HA. Don't know how long that's going to take :?
