Welcoming back Orion - my 8000th post :-)

I really wanted to make my 8000th post here a good one, but weather and circumstances have scuppered any imaging time lately.

So, the trusty old Google Pixel 4a leant up against a mug on the windowsill will have to do 🙂

Winter is on it's way.

Last night in full moonlight, I glimpsed my first view of Orion this year. Nice to see the old fellow striding over my back hedge once more!

amazing what camera phones can achieve, a fine looking image. First thing i see out of the window every morning now is Orion on is way down in the South East, such an iconic constellation.
