A pleasant surprise

Hi I managed 10 minutes observing the Sun through my Coronado with a 16mm eyepiece, this has been the first time for a while.

There were many prominences one of which was very clear and appeared to breakaway from the surface .

there was also great surface detail with plages, sunspots, filaments and mottling

Thanks for the heads up, there’s still a floating prom on display now and quite a lot of filaments on the surface. 👍🏻

Great having a sudden clear spell and all my 'in person' meetings cancelled by others 🙂
Managed a chunk of the morning observing on and off in Ha and WL.
