IAS 2023 (International Astronomy Show) - Not on for 2023

I note with sadness that the IAS for 2023 is not happening and one is now due in 2024.
The organisers Martin and Graham had stated, no show in 2023 due to venue refurbishment.
Thank goodness we had the return in 2022 and also the PAS at Kettering.

A shame as I was looking forward to cathching up with folks later this year ☹️

I was looking forward to it myself and to losing some money on more kit I’ve got my eye on.  As you say. Fortunate we had Kettering earlier in the year.

Good - I can’t afford anymore kit this year 😁

I see we have one now for 2024, but a new location as the old one has gone to the PAS that has moved from Kettering.
The IAS is now free entry and free talks, so good as an attendee, hope ist good for the long standing organisers though.

but expensive for vendors and given the very poor turnout last year for the show I imagine many will be deciding on this one.

I am not sure the turnout was poor, it was the first one after Covid and paid entry.
This is neither of those.
The PAS has good  turnout and has always been free.

We shall see what happens, I hope it's that we have two great shows away from London.

I can't remember which it was I last went to, PAS probably, but I thought it was quite busy.
