The ringed one again!

Here's my offering from Monday night. Focussing was a challenge! This is a Philips webcam with IR filter on a nexstar C8GPS with a 2.5 powermate. I've never used this much magnification before, and just getting it on the chip was an achievement for me!! Captured in K3ccd and automatically processed in Registax4 using 85% quality. I've resized to 50% - it looks sharper that way!!! I need more practice!

That looks a decent enough image Helen. You can make out some banding on the planet.

You are using what sounds like quite a complex set up there - and high magnification too!

I've had problems with focusing when using high magnifications with my simple "afocal" astrophotography efforts.

No Idea why the Blue background, but it does not detract from the image at all.
