Waxing Blue Gibbousness

A break in the clouds revealed the moon in a splendiferous blue background... I grabbed the Mak plopped it on a camera tripod and got a shot with the 450d...

I rotated the camera a little to try to get a framing I liked... Single exposure ( I took 4 in total ), and used the UV/IR cut filter from the webcam to prevent dust getting into the body. I might have to get me a second one of them.

Looks like you got the hang of the Mak, this is a wall hanger John very nice.

I think the 102 Mak would be better for my DSLR, the 127 Mak frames the shot too tight and you have to be very careful with the vertical framing height.

Thanks Paul. Yeah even with the size of the SLR sensor, it's a tight fit. Maybe a full frame camera would work better, of course they cost a helluva lot more .
