Hi all,

I t was clear for ages last night so after failing at M109 I went after this one again. Seeing was better than the previous night with a much sharper picture resulting. Final count was 70:75:70:115 LRGB, not the right ratio for the filters but you take what you can get.

All frames were dithered by autoguider, dark subtracted and flat fielded. The channels were combined with SD Mask in Maxim and the RGB combined in Maxim as well. The L channel was saved as a TIFF along with the channel masters. The TIFFs were processed in Photoshop and the L channel blended as a layer using luminosity. A fair whack of curves tweaking to get the colour balance and several passes of High Pass filter with L and RGB composite being treated differently. Finally Neat Image. No sharpening. Image cropped somewhat because of poor frame alignment over the two nights.
