Jupiter Monday 22/11/21

ED 80 on EQ3-2 with Enhanced Dual-Axis DC Motor Drives on Steel Tripod.                                                                                                                                                          

Asi 224 mc camera. 3x SvBony Barlow. 60s x 3. Exp = 30ms Gain = 300   Used 50% of FrameCount = 6135 per AVI
Stacked in AS!3, Wavelets in Registrax, De-Rotated in WINJUPS, slightly smart sharpened in PS.                                                                                                                            
Seeing, very bubbly

As has been said, it is a more than respectable image. Especially considering aperture and where Jupiter is positioned in the sky. It is well past its best.

As for WinJupos, it is superb. The key really is get your image scale to the optimum level, then you capture multiple images and combine them giving you a much smoother finished image. It obviously still relies on good seeing conditions for the data capture and it is plenty of work to measure and combine the images.

I generally only use it if i think the conditions are worth it, but i should use it more i think.
