Thanks Olly :) Saw a post where you had a RASA8 too. Hope you have managed to sort out the image issues you had. You will love the RASA8, see my images in the DSO image section that I got in stupid fast time after a long time away from the hobby

Who is imaging at F2 - 3 ?

I am currently on a RASA 8 @F2 and also have a old Boren Newtonian 8inch at F2.8

 

I’m imaging at F2.8 Tak Epsilon 180

I have a RASA8 which I optimistically mounted on top of my dual rig. I think the Mesu could cope (just) but keeping it aligned  with the aperture of the dome was a struggle so it goes on the mount now on it's own, when I can be persuaded to take the refractors off.

I was eyeing up a location in the garden for another observatory, but Mrs Tomato wants a summerhouse so that's been shelved. I might still put together a setup and take down rig, that would test how well the RASA holds it's collimation.
