Urgent help please! AZ-EQ6 Pro handset cable

I am about to setup my mount, and for the life of me, I cannot find the handset cable!

The manual says its an RJ45, 8 pin.

Can I use an Ethernet Patch Cable for now till I can order one?

The original had a kind of resistor on it. Will an ethernet patch cable damage anything?

just use a standard Ethernet 1-1 cable, not cross-over, it will work fine....

The "resistor" is a ferrite core, used to reduce electrical noise.

It also pointlessly bumps up the price when you want a new cable.....

Well, I have found the cable, but just in case I loose it again, I can use a standard Cat5e cable I have lying around?

Not sure what 1:1 or crossover is?

The cable I meant is a standard RJ45 ethernet cable I have running from my switch to my printer?

I think its a non crossover. I think ALL regular patch cables we use at home are 1:1 type, except the cross-over types which are RARE, and used to connect 2 PCs together?

Can someone confirm this?

It would help someone else stuck in the middle of the night looking for their handset cable?

The standard ethernet cable connects a pc to a network router. The crosser over type, as you noted connects two computers directly.
