Neptune - First view

Hello

Tonight I viewed and took some photos of Neptune for the first time. I thought I’d share a couple below….please excuse the quality, I’m still learning photography….I hope you can make it out. ☺️

In the first photo you can just make out an object to the right of the planet, I couldn’t quite work out via SkySafari what it was…it was probably me getting confused tbh.
I’m presuming it’s probably a star as there was one fairly close tonight, but it couldn’t be Nereid or Triton? 🤔 I image they’d be a lot smaller and not that visible?
Any help would be great, I’d love to know if it is a moon of Neptune.

Photos we taken using my SkyMax 180 Pro with Nikon D3200 attached to the Baader Hyperion Zoom. E3EF90F3-1D8A-4E74-9EB2-DFCD97296AE8.thumb.jpeg.a1e0a640ca8dfee522e8e6d16df373d1.jpeg

Thank you for letting me know Reggie. 🙂

I’m very surprised that I was able to capture it, there was quite a lot of light pollution in the area. I will try and improve my photos next time.

I hope you get to take some images and share with us soon.
