Lunt vs Daystar vs Coronado?

Recommended Posts

For visual (also binoviewer), and imaging, i'm looking for the Lunt 60 THA B600 (1600 euro). Is a good choice? or is best the coronado 60 single stack (2200 euro)?

i have also a 120ED and so i'm thinking also to a Daystar Chromosphere, to exange also with an 80 ED.

What is your opinion on best choice? i mnew on solar  field.

thanks

I use binoviewers with my Lunt 60mm but just bear in mind you need the 1.7x GPC attached to get enough in-focus.  I have the B1200 blocking filter.  I haven’t used any other solar scope so can’t compare.  I didn’t realise you could still get the 60mm now as a dedicated solar only.

The SMIII will be superior to the Lunt as has a externally mounted etalon (think they

start as 10mm BFs now ?)

Quark is a different experience altogether , if your after mags then go for that but

I never recommend solid etalons for HA beginners.
