Which guidescope?

Hi All

I need a guidescope, which can be piggy backed on my Skywatcher ED80. Which one is reasonably good in terms of:

1. Price not more than £150

2.. Easy to attach on my ED80 (without guiderings if possible)

3. FOV greater than or equal to that of the ED80

maybe an astrotech 66mm?

Not quite sure how you'd piggyback it without guiderings but a ST80 or a secondhand ZS66 would be good considerations. I've got a 66 and it does double duty as a guide and image scope.

I recently got an ST80 ( and QHY5) for guiding. Maybe the rings could fit the top of the existing rings??

Anyway, a good wide field set-up; does the job.

I would go for the William Optics ZS66. Your ED80 is not the biggest of scopes so you really want one smaller or similar then that for a guide scope so a 66 fits the bill nice.

Thanks for the advice guys. Need to scout the second hand forums for an ST80 or a WO ZS 66.

Btw, I was guiding the ED80 with a C9.25 & 3.3 focal reducer and it was rubbish.
