what about,

for visual and planatery imaging use?  ( alway FS102 and 180c)

thanks

I have had one for nearly two years without any problems - it's portable and quick to set up. I use mine with an ipolar to reduce set up time - I would advise against the Celestron polarscope because the altitude knobs on the mount hinder the view (learnt from experience!).

It's worth noting that the Skywatcher HEQ5 seems to be preferred on this forum at this price point, and that does have the advantage of the being upgraded with the Rowan belt mod.

I've had one for a few years but have for one reason or another not really used it in anger much. I did have the Darkframe tune up last year though,i t took 2 months but the RA motion has definitely benefited from the work carried out, the DEC less so but still miles better than from factory. I've recently found a website in the states called the MacObservatory (when researching the Redcat51) and he seems to like it.

Hope that helps a bit?

Mark
