2021 oppositions of Jupiter & Saturn.

As a visual observer I was disappointed with the 2020 oppositions of Jupiter,Saturn and Mars. Mars will not be back for some time. But Jupiter and Saturn will be back in August this year. Wonder if they will be better positioned. Both planets never appeared sharp due to their low height in the sky. I know that this has been the case for the last few years.

I made this chart a while back to look at how long it takes them to get back up to a good level. Jupiter looks a bit better but still a few more years needed, and Saturn doesn’t get really good until 2032!

Very useful graph Stu. Shame about Saturn but Jupiter is improving rapidly, so something to look forward to.
