Thanks again folks :(

Paul, M1 may be the first target, but this damn cloud needs to go away first!

As when it does the moon will no doubt be big and bright, narrowband will be the order of the day, and M1 is a good choice.

When that gets low, it will be either one of the leo triplet, or one of the magnificent galaxies in Ursa Major.

Tim, Amanda is (supposedly!) putting me a website together, and I plan to have tiffs availble for download from there when it's up and running.

Next processing job, nearly 24 hours worth of Rosette nebula with the SXVF H16....not sure if the laptop will handle it though!

Cheers

Rob

A great image, it clearly surpasses the composite M42 that won this week.

I think that the bar has been raised. It sets a new level on both the imaging and processing. A bit like NickH and his beloved Sun.

Keep them coming Rob, you could win pow every week if you had clear skies and the time to image. We can only be looking at requiring 11 images for next years calendar.

Clear skies John....that's the catch isn't it.

I'm dying to get stuck into some meaty targets with the new rig, but it's looking carp at the moment.

Plus, the lappy runs out of memory when I try to process lots of subs from the H16. I've got extra memory on order so fingers crossed!

Cheers for the kind words again folks :(

Sumptuous image Rog, absolutely beautiful. Excellent processing of quality data

Clear skies John....that's the catch isn't it.

Certainly is Rob - over the period you captured that, and since I have had one hour of imaging :( Have set up in hope about half a dozen times but just impossible. The weather here is making the hobby all but untenable.

Another exceptional production Rob.

Such a scene this this object sits in, and all so clear.

It is a shame you have to report back to work soon, we're going to have a wait for the big guns to open up. :(

Ah well, we need to be patient heh?

Ron. :)
