  1. Hi all, I'm looking at getting a modified canon 550d for astrophotography on my Skywatcher 190MN and wondered if anyone else has the same setup or if anyone knows if this would be a good move?
  2. Hi all, I need a bit of help and advice on how to take photos with my DSLR on a Coronado PST. I have a Canon EOS 1000d, t ring and 1.25" t adaptor (short and long nose) and an Orion Short barlow. I cannot seem to achieve focus, no matter what I try it's always just out. Has anyone been able to do this ? Cheers Steve

  4. What's with our rubbish weather ?, our club (Ashford, Kent) just bough a Coronado PST so we could at least do some daytime astronomy when the nights are not clear, it arrived yesterday and the forecast every day through to the weekend is rain/cloud/etc it's soooooooooooooooo frustrating !!!!!, , the last year has been the worst for weather.
  5. Nice image !!! , I wish my 2nd shot was as good as this when I first started, look forward to seeing more of your work.
  6. Nice shot and you got the small galaxy as well
  7. For comparison here is my first Triplet image from last year , taken with the Atik 16ic
  8. I finally got round to processing my Leo Triplet image from Kelling, LRGB, 3mins on L, 2 mins on RGB, 18 subs of each channel, taken with an Atik 16HR through a WO Megrez 72 , guided with an Opticstar AG-130m through a WO ZS66 , both scopes mounted on a EQ6 Pro.
  9. Here is my first try at the Horsehead and Flame, Ha , OIII & Hb , 2 x 7 mins subs of each, Atik 16hr , WO ZS66 , I need more subs to improve the S/N. Hope to try agin soon.
  10. Thanks for your comments and the link to the processing primers Cheers Steve
  11. The tutorial is from Practical Astronomer Magazine Vol 2 issue 5, they always have some very good tutorials on image processing. Cheers Steve
