Product of a bit of an oops moment from 4th November 2020

On 4th November I set up to grab a bit of lunar data and accidentaly hit the image capture instead of video capture on the software for my ASI290MC. As a result I have ended up with a file of 1000 still frames!

I thought I would have a look at what they would turn out like stacking a few so I fired up Autostakkert! tonight and selected the first 50 frames and stacked them.

This is the result without any post processing beyong a crop in paint.net (I dread to think how long the stacking process would take if I uploaded all 1000 frames....)-

A happy accident, from the looks of that! Did you ever let it analyse the full 1000?

Not yet. I think I will be waiting for a week off for that one.

Very nice! If you fancy converting the still images to a movie file, you could run them through PIPP - I find it a useful little program:
