Cheers everyone, I prefer my images with stars but some nebula do look great without, not this one though.

It was my first real attempt using Starnet++ to do any tweaking, separating stars and nebulosity and tweaking the colour curves separately makes things so easy.

Wow both of those are beautiful - the subtleties of the colours.  Agree that the one with stars 'feels' better - almost like a portal floating out there & I think the stars add some perspective to the whole thing - ethereal.

The starless one reminds me of a portion of a religious fresco you might see in an old church - just needs a dove in there somewhere!
