Cycle 25 - it’s official

Recommended Posts

According to NASA, it’s official. Cycle 25 began at the end of 2019/start of 2020 and we now have five years of increasing activity to look forward to until solar maximum in summer 2025. Pretty obvious to anyone who’s been observing regularly this year, but nice to get the official stamp of approval.

Just watched the NASA Science Live bit. Mainly basic stuff but worth a watch.

It's time for me to invest in an HA setup I think.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious, been quite a bit of activity over the summer months. Been getting images like this one attached on a monthly basis.

It would be nice to see a few prominent sunspots appear to really make it official... 🤔😉

Nice image by the way.
