Jupiter 11th August - good seeing

The hot sultry conditions gave a lazy boiling appearance to Jupiter with some good detail visible beneath. Autostakkert and Registax did their magic and produced a reasonable result for 17 degs altitude.

GRS and Callisto's shadow prominent.

Yes, but it has run out of adjustment with the planets at this very low altitude. It's not possible to bring red and blue completely to the same focus but it significantly reduces the effect.

There are things you can do like increasing the distance between ADC and camera to the prisms have a greater effect. However at f/22 on a C14 Jupiter is huge already.

It's most effective above 20 degs I would say.
