What am I doing wrong

Last night I was out disguise were pretty clear Jupiter and Saturn or out than Myers came out Neptune to but it just seemed like I was never a sharply focused on anything I didn't have that much detail at all and Jupiter Saturn was really just a bright gold outline am I doing something wrong I figure they'd be more detail expressional I with the stuff that I have

Maybe too high power eyepiece for your telescope, did you try lower eyepiece?

Also did you wait for the kit to cool down outside before observing?

Would be helpful if we know what kind of 'stuff' you have 😉.

Keep in mind that both Jupiter and Saturn will be very low above the horizon from the northern hemisphere this year and the next few years. Not a good time for these planets, unfortunately.

Last night I foind seeing wasn’t good and not much detail on Jupiter and Saturn and Mars was poor. A couple of weeks ago seeing was good and could see plenty of detail. 

Seeing does vary quite a bit from night to night and nights of good seeing are rare so enjoy them when they do come around.

I have a edge 8hd and I was using the 40mm that came with it and my delos 10mm.  Also I left the scope for about 2hrs and when I came back it was soaked from the dew.  I have a shield. Rookie mistake.  Does the stock focused suck?

Most likely seeing. With the 10 mm, the magnification is around 200x. That's ok on a good night but most of the time it's just too much. Not much you can do about it. Some nights are better than others, so keep on trying. For really a good view of the gas giants you'll have to wait a few years, when they're much better placed.
