Its a beautiful image Ron, thanks for posting!

I see it was taken via remote control from this country to a PC in New Mexico. Now if only we could convince one of you guys to move over there and take all our kit, so that we could do the same!

Perhaps somebody could clear something up for me, are the diffraction spikes from the OTA or from Noel's tools? I can't tell.

Thanks Ron.

TJ.

I hoped someone would like this. I find it superb.

The Astrotech RC400 Is a Richey Chretien coma free instrument, with a four vaned spider, so the Diffraction spikes will be from the instrument. itself.

Actually I hadn't read all the information, so I was amazed that it had been taken from The UK remotely. Whatever the method, it blew me away when I saw it. Oh for those New Mexico skies. :hello2:

Believe me, remote imaging is NOT cheap :hello2:

I can Imagine. But IIRC you were so fed up with the weather restricting your imaging at home, you resorted to a spell on the GRAS. Did you use up all your time?

Maybe we could persuade Olly to set up a radmin controlled telescope and charge a more realistic rate per night!!

I had a go on GRAS for a few free hours, and can see that easily you could rack up the bills.
