178 mono and C925

Using an Astronomik Proplanet 642 IR pass filter. Best 20% of 2k images stacked in AS3, sharpened in Registax and finished in Photoshop.

Lovely set of captures.

For some reason - bottom of each image seems to have significant blur to it. Do you know the reason?

Amazing photos, far sharper than what I can see visually through either my 14 in Newtonian or 150 mm Refractor, or photograph with my Canon 6D.

Hi Vlaiv,

i can only think that it might be the stacking, it was a little breezy and the 925 on the evo mount is easily effected by the slightest of breezes  so it may be due to shakiness.  I can assure you i haven't been smearing vaseline on my scope   Perhaps a heavier crop next time

Went back and brightened one of the images in AS3 before analysing , selecting alignment points and stacking ( before almost half the pic was too dark for points ) seems to have improved the blur a bit.
