Might just see that as I seem to be getting clear skies early on in the evening, but like tonight I have set up for the umpteenth time and thick clouds have now appeared.

Someone up there doesn't like me so hope for better luck on the 7th.

I know how you feel. Skies are very reminiscient of Highlander 2 at the moment.

According to my "stargazing 2009", it's the moon moving in front of the Seven Sisters (Pleiades). Starts at about 4:15pm and ends about 6:30pm. It doesn't say how rare this is though.

The Pleiades occultation is a fairly regular event I understand, but seasonal obviously.
