Hi, no, the 178mm provides a full disk as above without the need for mosaic but for certain features I also use the powermates. My full disk images are just that. Hope that clarifies the confusion.

Ha yes! What I meant was the 178 does fit in the a full disc (and no more = with little spare space around the edges) I didn’t mean it doesn’t work with a Barlow!

LOL, no worries, yes there is a little space around the disk with the 178mm using the lunt 60mm bf1200.

Knowing nothing about imaging, but hoping to learn more in the future, I really like the ‘light touch’ approach you have to surface mottling - not applying too much contrast, which sometimes to my eyes prevents subtle detail from emerging - such as the faint filaments and pores in these pics.

Hi, yes I agree, I think it's more authentic too.
