M42 from Costa rica

Hi folks, just been looking at m42 from costa rica through some bins. Never seen it so high, right on the zenith. Very strange. Nice though in 22 degrees

Can you glimpse the Large Magellanic Cloud from there??

I went on a trip to Australia and went camping in some remote spots... before getting into astronomy!! Man I'd love to go back with some binos now 😂

Costa Rica is lovely, so much wildlife to photograph as well.

22 degrees is enough to encourage me over the pond.
Always interesting seeing familiar sights from different places.

Lovely country, wonderful place to visit

We were there in 2017. I had a few good views of the sky with binoculars when we had clear nights.
