Tubes rings

Recommended Posts

I think any dealer can order u this I did few different times. Just give them the size u need. They can see who sells best fit from celestron skywatcher or meade.

Sometimes it may be 1mm off so just add bit more felt on rings

You could try Ray's Rings, (assuming he is still in business). He is/was based in/or around Peterborough. He made me a pair for my 're-modded' ETX105. They were 124mm, and I sold them on.

However, if you want the cheapskate approach, you could always use a pair of Jubilee/hose rings which hold/secure the OTA to the dovetail bar in place and I now use, (image below). To prevent them scratching or marring the OTA, you will also need some and some strips of self-adhesive neoprene, cork or felt. Surprisingly it does work. The downside is you will not be able to rotate the OTA.

If you cant source any off the shelf OOUK will make tube rings in custom sizes. Not sure on cost though

I did contact OOUK and was told that the smallest diameter they would be able to make was for 6"/150mm or above OTA's.
