A book that would recommend for a newbie would be "Turn left at Orion" great to get you going on objects in the night sky.

If you are located in an area of light pollution  .Also find yourself a nice dark site for the faint fuzzies, they really begin to pop to the eyes at a true dark site 👍

Hi Steve, sounds like a good start, you will probably find that the Explore Scientific 52dec 30mm LER eyepiece works very well, so time to get some serious viewing in.  Clear skies!
