Altair Sabre on EQ6 tripod?

I am considering an eq6 tripod for my Altair Sabre for extra height and rigidity, it would also fit the AZ100 if and when.

So the question is, will it fit? And

Has anyone here done it already?

I am unsure on the sizes of holes and threads etc on the eq6 fitting.

Hi Alan , I can’t comment on if it will fit or not , but I can always make parts fit if needed .. as I’ve got the workshop ..👍

The Altair Sabre is an M10 thread size i.e. EQ5.

The centre bolt on an EQ6 tripod is M12.

So I guess the answer is it would not fit.

Hello. I have the Geoptik adaptor on a EQ6 tripod. It works. I followed @johninderby recommendation.
