Experiments with an ed100

Just for refractor fans like me. I'm always interested to see what imaging can be done with basic refractors. Here are three shots taken with a DMK on an ed100 when the moon was nearly full . The first two with a 2X barlow and the last with 3xBarlow, Trevor

umm not sure if a 100ED would count as a "basic refractor" but nonetheless lovely captures you've got there Trevor

Fair comment Karlo. Basic is the wrong word. I'm always pleasantly surprised what these telescopes will do. I'm a refractor nurd I guess.

Nicely done Trevor! Byrgius A's bright 'splash' (second image) is one of the best I've ever seen. The ejecta albedo is extremely bright and very easily burns out the underlying details if it's not controlled. Whatever you did worked well.
