Return of Orion

Great to see him again early in the small hours and just before sunrise.  It's like the return of an old friend.  Let's just hope the sky conditions this winter facilitate seeing him a bit more than in recent years.

I was up early today too. Have to have some knee surgery. Nothing major 😬. Nice to see the clear sky and yes it was a pleasant surprise nice to see Orion back. Also Auriga and the unmistakeable redness of aldebaran. Winters coming 😀.

I tried imaging Orion early this morning but the moon was too bright so gave up, closed everything down and went to bed.
