leaving scope out in direct sun

Hi all

I setup my scope last night hoping for clouds to clear 😔 they didn't, so I packed up ext leads and covered scope with a bike cover I have just incase it rained , so today we have brilliant sun 🥳🌞, so is the scope ok cooking under the sun I have taken bike cover of and also the scope caps so air can circulate or should I keep it under bike cover to keep it out of direct sun ?

Mines set up for solar so spends a few days sitting in the sunshine all day if I'm lucky, it cools down naturally as the ambient temperature drops.

Mine seems happy in the sun (astro scope  converted to Solar).

I did leave my Dob out all day between fine nights. Cooked the Telrad ☹️.

My 'scopes live under Telegizmos covers 24/7. TBH I'm more concerned with dew than cooking. I leave the cameras attached but not powered on.

I might be tempted to make sure that any exposed lenses/mirrors/focus points are suitably protected/covered so that stray sunlight doesn't cause a heating/fire issue or in case someone accidentally nudges the scope into alignment with the sun which might have untoward consequences.
