Hi' I'm looking for some advice please.Over the night time over the weekend i was screwing in two new bolts for the altitude. The front bolt screwed in fine but with the back one with a handle on it won't go any higher than 50' degree.I need the mount to go to 51'degree but looking through the polar scope the altitude mount will not go any higher. Can any one help me out Thanks for reading.Mark

Hi MBJ' Yes' the one with the handle and a red button which is the longest goes in the back of the mount and the shortest one goes into the front. When i took the old ones' out because the back bolt was bent.Mark.

Just put a tilt of a couple of degrees into the tripod by lengthening the north leg. It has no effect on PA and no effect on your polarscope for alignment. The reticle on the polarscope is only affected by E-W leveling and then by only a tiny amount. I can't see a small tilt like that affecting stability. It's something Tak mount owners have to do in even moderately northern latitudes and is perfectly satisfactory.
