Problem with stellarium

 Hello everyone,

Im having some problems wirh connecting my laptop to stellarium.

When i enter the config window in stellarium and trying to register my telescope,it shows me my current port (port6)but when i click start/connect,it doesnt do anything.

Help anyone?

Are you using a usb-serial adapter ? The yellow warning triangle indicates a problem with the device's driver.

It would also be helpful if you gave a little bit more info (mount etc)

My mount is eq5 .i have an rs232 usb adapter and the grey cable that connect to the remote.

Maybe the way i connect the cables was wrong??,

Until now i connect the grey cable in the synscan remote and the usb thread to the laptop.

Stellariumscope isn't required unless you are also using a third party programme such as EQMod.  My guess is that the problem is related to the usb-serial adapter. Not all adapters are created equally and some don't work.

Try installing the Prolific usb-serial adapter driver from Skywatcher.

As above USB prolific driver. Also make sure your ascom drivers are installed and any other drivers are updated to latest version for all your equipment. There may also be a problem where people have had to try different make cables to get it to work. Usually the driver fixes it.
