Tonights Veil TIFF files

Recommended Posts

Attached are the 2 TIFF files ive made tonight of the Veil Nebula if anyone wants to try and process them and see what you can get out of these.

Ive had a quick try and disappointed myself so far so its off to bed.

The 1st file is 19 x 8 minute subs stacked with Bias

The 2nd file is the 19 x 8 min subs stacked with Darks, Lights, Flats, Dark Flats and Bias

All from my QHY8L cooled at -24 tonight.

Cheers

Look forward to someone getting a result

Which of my TIF files did you use Carole? I'm not sure whether it makes alot of difference using darks flats etc compared to only using bias frames stacked with the subs?

Here's my version. I used the second tif file (calibrated)

As usual, played with your data in PixInsight:

Photometric Colour Calibration using a sun-like star (G2V star) as reference.

Arcsinh stretch to push the colour.
