Mars and the Equinox

This is a great time to look at Mars if you have clear skies because Syrtis Major, Mare Hadriacum, Mare Tyrrhenum, Mare Cimmerium and a bit of the south polar cap are all visible in the EP. A bit soft but definitely there. I was able to capture this image with my 180mm Mak and the Orion 5MP cam two nights ago, around the time of the equinox:

Gave up after about 20mins last night, it was too low to the horizon and the seeing was very unsteady. 

Best views I had were a few weeks ago and they weren’t up to much,  hopefully the 2020 opposition will give us more to  look at ?
