Another M31... 100D and Star 71

From last night... 15 X 12.5 min, iso 400, DSS and PS.

I used a CLS filter that enabled long exposures but it also (helped by high cloud) prevented any colour, especially those blues. Perhaps I'll try very low iso (100) next time without the CLS and see how long I can get to without over exposing.

Very nice - I really like that. I much prefer the subdued colours and the fact that it gives the impression of space around it - nicely framed.

Nice and crisp image.

I suspect that if you gently move the colour balance from yellow towards blue you then might be able to coax some more colour into it. M31 seems to be one of the trickiest targets to colour right.

Here is a version with different colour balance... I don't think it got any more blues but it looks OK. reduced stars a little as well.
