Canon 1100D MVI Files to AVI or Mpeg

Hello

I've been trying to load MVI files of Mars (a video) from a Canon 1100D into Registax with no joy. I've tried to convert them to AVI, Mpeg, still no joy. Tried VLC Player, and virtual dub (error messages as to decompressors, codecs). I was wondering if there is a simple way to address this problem without having a degree in computer science. The best I got was Registax loading 67% of my .avi files, then it stopped. Any of you knowledgeable folks know of a solution for this?

Try PIPP then Autostakert

As Dave says, convert using PIPP then use the processing software Autostakkert 2 or 3 depending upon your computer set up. What size are your capture files?

I beleve you can record avi using LiveView x10 ?

Don't know, this cam, meaning well, puts out jpgs, which are no good to me. Maybe you mean s/thing different, and thanks. I've found the missing codec after a while and am now good to go.
