Venus from 2018-07-14

Took my chances on Venus, the shy planet close to the sun.

As in the sessions before, the sun was just setting down, leaving enough daylight to see the Moon and Venus only.

Seeing was between bad and not-soooo-bad, so all I got through my ASI ZWO 290 was a wafting little spot, also hiding every detail from me.

Still, I am happy with the result. When viewing the image, Venus almost appears as a mystic and distant planet, and while observing, one wonders what hides beneath the clouds.

Very nicely captured Valentin, despite its brightness Venus is not particularly easy to capture well.

Great Venus, Valentin. A truly mysterious planet! I got some interesting cloud detail using a polarizing filter this spring.

True, Reggie. I saw your pictures and was really impressed that you managed to capture some cloud details. Truly amazing to see more of Venus!
