Superb results, why only 51 frames stacked?

It looks better with 51 frames rather than 151 or 301 whuich were m,y other stacks.

I have tried doing more in the ppast but gives a poorer result.

With my planetary images i use about 5% stack.

I thought that was going to be the answer, but if you don't ask, you don't know.

I also don't stack too many frames for Solar imaging, but recently for the planets I have gone in the other direction.  I guess a lot of it is down to the quality of the stack and how much processing you are planning to do.

They certainly look very good!
