Clear up here but i'm just home from having a chicken vindaloo,bombay aloo and two garlic nans,oh yes 4pints of cobra and a bottle of wine......i'm stuffed and cant be bothered to go out. :occasion5:

really clear in London. Been out with dob. looked at moon - Vallis Schroteri and cobra's head lovely, interesting and clear at x100. Two big craters in south but not sure what they were - one may have been Schickard; the smaller one (just south of the one that may have been Schickard) had a very large mountain on its western (?) side casting a long long shadow. Also saw the field of domes west of Marius.

Then beta andromeda (I think ), the lovely green yellow double; The double cluster - very nice and showing a lot of colours. Finally, quick look for Andromeda - it's still there! Got cold so in for cocoa, crisps and Phoenix Nights.

OK early on, so got the south wall on the obs down for the first time and had a look - SO bright 8) Mike even got his camera out and took some shots (need to process tomorrow). Then it clouded over, but not completely at first, so I spent some time drift aligning the pier.

My new power supply has arrived from Starlight, so now desperate for a proper clear night to try guiding, and then COLOUR
