M106 and friends

Hi guys and girls. 

Just a very quick session of the M106 21 frames at 240 secs. Guiding was pretty bad maybe that's why it looks soft to me? First attempt at it. 

Any comments welcome.

Very nice image, I do rather like the spikeson the brighter stars and love the colour difference in the orange a blue stars at the bottom of frame, it's not over done.

Thanks. Yes nothing special. I have a Skywatcher 150pds and Canon 550d on a eq6. I realise now though this object needs a very large telescope to get better resolution but it's fun to try! What equipment are you using maybe we can help?

Yes I almost cut those stars out of the frame but glad I didn't. It's not the best picture. Too little subs and obviously needs longer exposures. I was wondering if I add to it more subs and maybe some h Alpha but may not be worth it.
