sw 50mm finder thread

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone knows the thread size for the rear of a skywatcher 50mm finder scope. Looking to order a helical focuser but not sure which one I should order.

Hey  

FLO sell an adapter for the SW 9x50 finder to convert it into a t-thread which should make it easy to attach a helical focuser. They also state that the finder has an M51 x 0.75 thread.

Mark,

Caution. Just check you have enough backfocus to accommodate the helical focuser.

I considered doing the same but couldn’t get things to work. I think it would probably be OK with a RACI conversion.

Cheers for the info @Merlin66 . I did not really think about that, I was too busy thinking it would be an easier way to get focus. I will check tonight as for the life of me I cannot remember if I have had to use a barlow.
