Last nights attempt at M51, not bad considering my tracking was off hehe..

30x20 secs, Iso 1600, Canon 300d and ST102 F/5

Seeing was really good last night hence the image, my tracking is off though just looked at my settings on the Mount and it's gone from 53 to 50 :shock: trying to move the thing back but struggling . If it's clear i will go for it again and try to refine the alignment well now that tree's go there can be no excuse for this :laugh:.

You proably know this mate, but take the weight of the mount yourself before you slacken the bolts off, it's much easier.

I'll try that Gaz thanks never really bothered about it in the past but i need to now hehe..

Heres a Postcard of M51 it's less cropped this one and makes a nice widefield image i think..
